Marchal Olivier

Carolo d’origine, c’est dans le Sud puis le Nord de la France qu’il passe enfance et adolescence.
Diplômé en Sociologie et Changement Social, de l’Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille-1, Olivier Marchal a commencé sa carrière professionnelle en tant que Professeur dans l’enseignement secondaire avant de travailler pour les Instances Bassins Enseignement-Formation-Emploi de Wallonie picarde, puis de Charleroi.

Coordonnateur de l’IBEFE de Charleroi et du premier bassin scolaire de la Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles durant 6 ans, les dynamiques multipartenariales, l’optimisation institutionnelle, et les challenges que représentent l’organisation des organisations et l’efficacité publique, sont au cœur de ses préoccupations professionnelles.

Aujourd’hui Directeur de la Cité des Métiers de Charleroi et Chroniqueur radiophonique sur La Première, il participe activement au développement du futur Campus de Charleroi-Métropole et soutient la réflexion stratégique dans les matières : formation, enseignement, emploi et orientation.

Père de 3 enfants, passionné de musique vocale, chef de chœur et coach sportif, quand ce n’est pas le potager qui l’inspire, il s’adonne volontiers à quelques parties de jeux de stratégie sur l’ordinateur familial.

Originally from Charleroi, he spent his childhood and adolescence in the South and then the North of France.

With a degree in Sociology and Social Change from the University of Science and Technology of Lille-1, Olivier Marchal began his professional career as a teacher in secondary education before working for the Education-Training-Employment Basins of Wallonia-Picardy, then of Charleroi.

Coordinator of the IBEFE of Charleroi and of the first school basin of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation for 6 years, multi-partner dynamics, institutional optimisation, and the challenges of organising organisations and public efficiency are at the heart of his professional concerns.

Today, he is the Director of the Cité des Métiers de Charleroi and a radio chronicler on La Première. He actively participates in the development of the future Charleroi-Métropole Campus and supports strategic thinking in the areas of Training, Education, Employment and Orientation.

Father of 3 children, passionate about vocal music, choirmaster and sports coach, when he is not inspired by the vegetable garden, he likes to play strategy games on the family computer.

Hij komt oorspronkelijk uit Charleroi en bracht zijn kindertijd en puberteit door in het zuiden en vervolgens in het noorden van Frankrijk.

Met een diploma Sociologie en Sociale Verandering van de Universiteit voor Wetenschap en Technologie van Rijsel-1, begon Olivier Marchal zijn professionele loopbaan als leraar in het secundair onderwijs alvorens te gaan werken voor de Onderwijs-Opleiding-Werkgelegenheidsbekkens van Wallonië-Picardië, vervolgens van Charleroi.

Coördinator van het IBEFE van Charleroi en van het eerste scholenbekken van de Federatie Wallonië-Brussel sinds 6 jaar, de multi-partner dynamiek, de institutionele optimalisatie, en de uitdagingen die de organisatie van organisaties en de openbare efficiëntie vertegenwoordigen, staan centraal in zijn professionele zorgen.

Vandaag neemt hij als directeur van het Beroepenpunt van Charleroi en radiochroniqueur bij La Première actief deel aan de ontwikkeling van de toekomstige Campus van Charleroi-Métropole en ondersteunt hij de strategische reflectie op het gebied van Opleiding, Onderwijs, Tewerkstelling en Oriëntatie.

Vader van 3 kinderen, gepassioneerd door vocale muziek, koordirigent en sportcoach, wanneer het niet de moestuin is die hem inspireert, speelt hij graag strategiespelletjes op de gezinscomputer.
